As technology advances, it will be used to create all kinds of devices to create products ppl buy.

I don't wish to repeat the same thing again, but I totally agree, that having a Phone, MP3 player, and Camera all in one, to me is convinient, of course the samsung in my opinion is going almost to far, (at least for the moment), because it is huge!

I mean, all of these slimline casio exilim cameras, are tiny, have huge zooms, and good resolutions, so why can't more of these be incorporated, IMO?

Anyway, because, when I leave the house, I take my phone, keys, generally, so, no that my phone has the ability to take decent pics, play good quality sound, take notes, radio, the list goes on. I think all in one is great, of course it doesn't produce the same quality o the subject compared to a device thats sole purpose is to produce pics, or play music, because have al their time spent to make them good at that, where as a phone just has to be good at everything, not supreme! They are not meant to compare with actual digicams, accept maybe that Samsung lol.

Anyway, I think, until they produce a smaller one, a 5MPx phone is out of the Q, for me. I'd be happy enough with the K750/W800 2MPx camera, because, for me, I use my K700i, and P910, for quick fun shots, not ridiculously perfect, artistic shots!

Just my two cents.

imho, samsung's 7mp cam is too advanced at this stage, i hope they wouldn't reach saturation point. but i guess they know better...=P i'm with the betterment of built-in cameras in mobile phones. there's no digicam that could send pictures wirelessly to an e-mail address or to another phone.=)

There was a digital camera with a builtin gsm modem, there was a range of them but at the time they were too expensive for me - you could e-mail pictures directly off the camera.

I dont think theres anything wrong with trying to get ever improving camera technology into a mobile phone, as long as they keep the price down and keep the phone small.

I look forward to phones having 5 or 7mp cameras in them as long as they stay around the same size they are now.

Optical zoom tends to only increase the size of the device, look at the new Sharp 902 2mp cameraphone with optical zoom, its huge !

I'd take the K750 over it anyday, without optical zoom the phone is much smaller and much less fragile. Optical zoom lenses are fragile and prone to breaking due to their moving parts - which they would in a mobile phone. A mobile phone is always going to be handled more violently than a camera.

i dont know about you guys but a camera phone to me is just for jokes when you out and about, not to take professional pictures. whats wrong withth ecamera in the k500i or k700i, they are perfect when you upload the pic on the pc.

Well, whatever direction we discuss this, it is clear that we will see more convergence devices. People buy them for the kicks and the convenience. The manufacturers smile to the bank, then produce some more.

Welcome to the world of convergence. Welcome to the world where nothing is what it used to be anymore.
