So try Zeta ;-) It is different from Windows and it's nice. I'd wait another 2 weeks until the first final version comes out. It'll run on computers with more than 200 MHz. This message was posted from a T610

I wouldn't ignore some of the newer, more maintained Linux distributions that are incredibly easy to setup.

I personally installed Fedora Core 3, which is the free version of RedHat.

I suggest the slightly older Fedora Core 2, or the Ubuntu Linux Project. Both have amazing support, are well maintained, contain lots of drivers and can be easily installed and configured.

If you want to try out how a newer Linux distribution runs on your old machine without installing it, try getting a distribution that will boot off of a CD. I tested my system with Gnoppix and Knoppix before deciding to install Linux.

(Gnoppix runs the GNome environment while Knoppix runs KDE)
