Yes in the bible people are noted my their faith "jewish" i thought.

I never heard then mention race.

But hey, the world is full of difference's, some we like some we dont.

But that really doesnt help the choice, the nxt pope will be white and everyone will carry on as normal. If there is anything that will lead people away from the faith in question the people in power will make sure this is kept to a minimum.

even i would think having a black pope will be wierd, somebody will probably murder him then then they will reinstate a white one, then everyong will be happy again.

Its sad but true!

Reading your different posts on this is interesting.

Someone said something to the effect that africans and indians were "converted" and that christianity is "not in their blood" so to speak. That's a laughable premise to stand on really, because christianity is not european in origin either. The english, polish, italians, spaniards - the whole of europe - are converts as much as asia or africa or south america are.

I do not really care whether the Pope is black, white or green (a martian). Makes no difference to me and I hope to most sincere christians around the world.

I never saw John Paul II as polish or european; I just saw him as the Pope

Racism will always be around, as long as we are all different, be it looks or watever. Some people are more tollerant than others.

Difference just means competition.

We all bleed the same way, we all come in and out of the world the same way.

I can not see why my age has anything to do with this. Neither can I remember much about european slaves in the US. I have reason to believe I'm dubble your age, but my wisdom appearantly didnt dubble since your age, wich I regret.

There are no "races", only opinions.

Yes, futuredesign, they WILL just go up there and do the same thing, then die. But the same thing is great. If what John Paul II did is repeated with the new Pope, then the new Pope has acheived something.

Thats what the fuss is about. I don't want this to start something, but I don't follow/worship ANY God. And yet I am still interested in who the next Pope will be simply because it matters to others. The universe does not orbit around me, or you for that matter.

I agree, a black Pope would be interesting, gospel anyone? But I doubt its very likely.
