My 2 pennies here....

If you are just casual users that want your personal email pushed (and even calendar and contacts synchronised 'a la Blackberry' if you're heavy organizer users), you can try this new small company, m-Communitas (http://www.mcommunitas.com/).

They claim you don't need to run anything in your desktop and that they offer it for individuals, students, freelancers, etc, not corporates.

I tried and it works very well, although I live in the US. I think that if your Internet access is not a 'walled garden' it should work from anywhere...

I have downloaded and now use Blackberry connect (BES) version. Have been using it for around 4 weeks with no problems at all.

I am on o2 in the UK and my company has the BES (even my IT deparmtent was happy for me to use a non-standard device).

Set up took around 10 minutes (much of the time was the wireless updating of my calendar.

I now have wireless (push) email, calendar and contacts.

Notification is configured through the excellent Magic Profile Pro, although I would like some way of making the light flash (red) when a message arrives.
