That's historical really, Erics son (as in son of Eric), traditional naming of people, if you remove one s it would become Erics 'on' which means nothing
Perhaps we could remove the s in Sony to make you feel better though

Battery low warning is too loud / disturbing in k700.
Since the battery life is short, I hear this scream very pften...
Overall build quality is poor. Squeaking , creaking. Especially the batt cover is poor.
Rubber plug at the bottom is a stupid idea.
Camera picture quality is very weak.
No cover for the lens -> its always gets dirty.
The absense of the real flash.
Could be a bit thinner.
No memory card slot.
