No you are not an idiot, but the attitude of being F******* P***** doesnt really help. Best to calm when facing problems.
By the way - about "dont not turn on" that was a typo.
1. Flash recovery file skip finalization as you are currently doing.
2. When finished disconnect, remove battery, replace battery, rconnect phone.
3. Flash main and fs with finalization.

ok well thats a good thing. Are you sure davinci can actually flash R1Y firmware?
Also what recovery file did you use? maybe its est to flash to an older version of firmware which is CID29 if you are not 100% dvinci can flash those files.

it seems to me that my phone is called CID29 and the R1y is CID 39 and doesn't want to let me install it because they are different CIDs.
I'm hoping it can install it, thats what I assumed since it's from their server.

You phone will be CID29 yes. But most server software can flash any CID flashes to any phone - thats what TMS and setool do. Can you tell me what recovery files there are? If CID36 then try to flash with that.

sorry, our posts got muddled up, i did nt mean to try again as i very much doubt it will work. ater recovery flash with out finalization i would flash older CID29 files - at least you will have a living phone.

i just tried to flash to a voda setting old flash file and it froze on the 3rd block of the FS.

hope my phone has enough battery for all of this.

hmm, thats interesting, man davinci sucks. As the flash failed i bet you have erom erased again. So lets try this again:
1. flash recovery file the R1D003 one skip finalization
2. Flash main and fs R1D003 files with finalization
battery should hold out for a few more goes. - If not you will have to charge it in another phone or get a new one i guess.......
