I am no expert in debuging stuff like that. But have you tried another computer and see if you have the same problem? I don't want to recomment you this but, it may be worth trying to re-install your PC Suite at least the latest one, re-install your Java Runtime and see if that will work. I was using XP SP2, ZA firewall, Anti-Virus while updating and it worked ok for me.

For those having problems, (after downloading the Java) don't forget to switch the Java engine Internet Explorer uses!!
Control Panel -> Add Remove Programs -> Last Icon on the left panel !
(sorry, don't know what it says in English)

Hay friends,
I'v just finished the update after 3 days of trying everything on PC and Laptop and seeing all the errors mencioned on the net, ad the and I cleaned an 10 gb HD an installed Win XP standard and Java 1.5 and setup my internet connection.
After that I installed the latest DSS drivers and the latest Mrouter from Intuwave and after that SE pcsuite 3.1 and seus update service, and nothing more.
Ghues what? it worked, the update whent well even 2 times because XP shuted down the first time 5 min before the end.
now I'm restoring the backup for the firts time, I have my fingers crosed.
