Sony make alot of really good incar A/V equipment. In NZ, any screen mounted in the front must not be able to be veiwed by the driver unless the Parking Brake is applied. Thier DVD headunit and roof-mounted screen use remote control as does PS2. Perhaps you could use S/E mobile phone as remote control. I've not seen that done yet!

that would be worth a try!! i could figure out a way to do that! lol
it is the same here... the user cant be able to see the TV... but thats why i want the passenger to be able to adjust it on an arm type thing, ya know?

That makes two of us then....

Are you sure you want to? I'd say that it'd be a job for an upholstery expert that - unless you know your way around an industrial strength sewing machine!

It would be easier to install a roof mounted screen in place of the interior light like I did. You'd be suprised how good it looks and how easy it is to watch.

Or you could get a portable DVD player... no installation required.

@EastCoastStar
re front mounted screen: I've seen available sunvisors with screens built in - that would help increase the number of screens in your truck!
How about some sort of Head Up Display projected onto the windscreen when the parking brake is applied? Betcha that would win an award in any show!

now thats an idea!! how much would that cost?!?! ive never even seen one of those!

and why would i need a sewing machiene?? i missed that part lol
and i cant have it where the light is, because most of the trucks im lookin at to get dont have those lights that are in thhe front, above the dash area. plus, i want the front passenger to be able to play while im driving - as long as i cant see the screen bc thats against the law! lol

i might get the one in the headrest for the back seat sounds like a good idea for something to add.
can i hook up the PS2 to all of the tvs?

also... can a wireless PS2 controller go through things? like, if the PS2 is in the front somewhere, can someone in the back play? bc the waves will have to go through a seat and a person.

The first part of my post was directed towards djpowelly

HUD would have to be developed by you and your installer. The concept requires that you have a TV / LCD screen mounted into the top of the dashboard playing upside down - therefore when you look at the windscreen, you see the reflection the right way up. You could mount a louvred grille over the screen with the angle of the louvre's set such that driver and passenger cannot see the screen directly, but the reflection is not impeded. Do you understand what I mean?

I just dreamed this up.... but it could certainly be done, if you have the time and the will.
