Yes we can! I got my K750i now and yes it's JAVA does support multitasing!! Either you press the Activity key when you're in a JAVA app, or press the back button for 3 sec and then minimalize! Woah! Great!!

I wonder why after the great S700 Sony went back to smaller screens? The large display on the S700i is about as good as it gets on a phone, perfect for WAP and some (adapted) HTML, for reading Java books with less scrolling and in decent font sizes, and particularly for image viewing, videos and games.

You would expect a photographically superior model like the K750 to have at least the same screen, if not better. Photographically superior? Well, that's what the specs and the media say (and some reviewers). Apart from a higher pixel count it has the benefit of focusing (earlier phonecams, with their fixed lenses, suffered from optical smudging more than from their low CCD resolution). With both a large sensor and 'motorised' auto-focus the K750 should be miles ahead in photography.

That's in theory, at least. But don't sell your 'proper' camera on eBay just yet, the image improvement is not revolutionary, often hard to notice (as some comparative reviews show). Even less pronounced is the difference against the S700i - with its 'only' 1.3 megapixels and no autofocus, I would still challenge any K750-equipped photographer to shine with dramatically better images.

Some examples from my first couple of months with the S700i are listed below. (Keep in mind that Esato down-sizes images to fit site standards, I normally shoot in 640x480 format, not the camera's highest). And apologies to any watchful moderator if my uploading was found excessive - I am new here and still learning the rules.

Cheerz,
A.

@maharba: nice opinion you got there! i agree with you; i think the S700i can still compete with the K750i despite its smaller camera resolution (1280x960 vs. 1632x1224) due to its better camera sensor (CCD vs. CMOS)
