thanks Bobafett, indeed Ericsson is the only mobiles manufacturer that has such a wide fan base, its really impressive. R520m and T39m may be the last heir to GH688/SH888 and GF788/T18s but they won't be forgotten anytime soon i guess!

I added a small illustrated history of the business line mobiles by ericsson, from the GH337 to the R520m...

GH337 is just on Lsursock's web, new page 3. Nice pictures.
The magnesium frame is really attractive. Is SH888 the last model with this frame?

Best /// phone has to be the t39m - used one since it came out and never had any trouble with it. Before it I used a t28i - gorgeous and slim phone when it came out, only upgraded to t39 as I needed the IR and was intrigued by bluetooth

I even had the super-long extending ariel on my T28i..

Since then I've gone to the T68i (fantastic phone, though unfortunately had so much trouble with it on the UK T-mobile network I gave up and reverted to my t39 - works fine on my irish contract though, so I use it as a second line and my 39 as a back-up) and as of last week a T630 (still not used to the t9 space button moving from "1" to "#" !).

Before SE/Ericsson I was a Panasonic man (G450 brick spings to memory - survived being dropped off a bridge onto a rock under the water in a river after a date with a hair dryer). I've tried a few nokias in my time too, although have always found the menus cumbersom (I liked the tabulated all-on-one-screen idea of the T28/39 better) and a bit condescenidngly simple! In saying that the 6600 is the first Nokia that has tempted me, particularly since they have sorted out the bluetooth default issue allowing you to easily bluejack nokias. It does look very similar in design to a SE T610 though, if a little bloated.

I have a feeling I'll be with SE for a long time to come, as they are seem to keep the subtle introduction of the latest available technology long before its commercial time, and have coupled that with beautifully designed phones.

Cheers,
Bradley
