@Mari... good thing you did not watch the show at CCP last night. Vernie Varga did not do justice to your grandfather's "Bituin Marikit". Regine Velasquez had a lot of flats... the sound system was tuned for a rock concert and was clipping voices singing high notes. There were booths in the lobby handing out Time Sharing raffle tickets... CCP was a palengke... The show was video taped for TV. The audience did not even know how to respect the national anthem what more the national artists.
Overall, I don't think it was a worthy tribute to our National Artists... it was more of a bastardization of their works... I had to leave during intermission time.
