CPW will upgrade, I got sick of waiting for O2 to get their act together. So I went to CPW and have had my P990 for almost a week.
I'd recommend anyonyone to try CPW.
Especially when I'm sitting in my living room with a glass of wine, using my P990i over the WLAN

The only problem is that CPW can't do the upgrade for the same price that O2 can directly . . . I'm being quoted £129 from O2 and £210 from CPW.

Ive already upgraded, been on the contract a month. So i cant do anything about it now. Wish i knew this before

Anyway my new contract is £15 for 500 texts and 200 rollover minutes, 12 months and £120 for the phone. Im happy with that and my current phone seen as i used to pay £25 and get half the minutes. So ill just wait. Bah, and wait....and wait some more.

I got the text so rang for an alternative phone;

I said can I have the Nokia E50, no sir not out until 13 Nov, I then asked for the K610im, sorry that has been delayed too, how about the Ipaq HW 6915? Sorry we have cancelled that one. So give me one reason to stay?

The deal we have offered you will not be beaten by any of the networks. I said possibly but at least they can offer me the phone!!! They then said OK, 1 month's free line rental, I said fine for now. In the last 3 months, they have given me over £120 in credits on my account.

I was angling for that kinda deal when I called up to ask for my PAC . . . they put me on hold for a few minutes and then came back and just gave me the code (well, said they'd send it to me by letter and txt anyway), at that point I figured that they've just asked someone who said that you might as well let him go because that phone isn't gonna be out for ages!! Hope not though . . .

Do CPW ammend anything on ur contract even tho you wish to just remain the way you are with o2? CPW seem cheaper on the D900 which I want ;-) a friend will sell me his P990i next yr if I want it
