Hmm, i personally think this is untrue. If sonyericsson were continuing firmware for these devices to fix the bugs then why didn't they release the latest firmware for the m600. The m600 still has bugs but the guy on developer forum said its acceptable. Hmm, if se have changed their mind, maybe someone should get some concrete evidence.

These are official responses from the SE support which also happen to be recorded in SE's logs. So in my book, these are concrete evidences. If you want SE to make a formal announcement it's not going to happen. It would be very foolish for SE to make such a statement and then not follow up. Check the SE dev forum, you'll see hints that SE is looking into the bug report at wiki.

@ makbil
ive looked at the wiki and got confused as to how to add things but could you add that the volume could be louder on the phones?? and perhaps some one else could try to confirm that navigation on videos over 1 hour in size leads to problems like you cant just navigate through one and if you do manage to do it it keeps on making u have to press play many times and some times u get picture without audio!

Hi Makbil,
and now some one has had a response from the same SE office in Turkey confirming the original statement and no more firmware as whilst it is not 100% it's the best you can expect to get. Yet again the lack of clarification one way or the other from SE is appalling and how can anyone trust SE any longer.

@Mr[NiK], that problem is already documented.
@Doggman, SE support in Turkey has indeed sent 2 conflicting emails in 2 days. I have asked them for a confirmation but didn't get a reply yet.
It looks like there is confusion within SE on what to do. Just recently, Johan at SE Dev forum stated that nothing is certain yet and that we should be patient, on the other hand, Tom Bailey's post hinting that SE is actually looking at the wiki bug list got censored immediately. So I don't know what to make of it. I guess we will know soon.

I don't think that SE local support know whether software development and updates will continue.

If this is an indication to how SE will treat current
and future phone models, how many of you would consider upgrading from P990 to another UIQ3 device?
I am fairly happy with my P990 but doubt that I would consider
ever again. Not after seeing how they treat their customers.

I dont know, but i think all the union and frustration expressions of current UIQ device owners are generating some response, some way or the other, from SE.
So its clear we are having our voices heard, and we have their attention, although nothing is clear about this situation so far.
Lets hope they take the right steps and correct all this mess.
