This happened last year too. SE was first to announce 8MP camera phone, but LG and Samsung announced their products later and they came out earlier. History is repeating itself. SE needs to launch closer to announcement.

@jmcomms- Is the C905 successor confirmed with 12mp?? The fact that every damn manufacturer is jumping on the touchwagon is pretty worrying. Also SE are spposed to launch a fashion line??ala l'amour??

I don't know what's next (check the rumours section here) but I know there will still be new releases under the traditional model numbers for a while - including Cyber-shot and Walkman.
It's pretty obvious to assume they'll use that sensor in another product, and as time goes on, it will become more common as other models jump to 15MP or whatever...

Just speculation but, i'm quite certain pixon will have better photo quality . Judging from pics posted at USEB satio uses the same post processing as c905 which is not so good (atleast I think so). It can still improve but I dont think that much. The video quality seems great though. I would still go for the satio since the overall package seems impressive.

No we could not assume I'm afraid to say! The 3430 has a spec stating it can only go up to 12mpx so you could stick a 30mpx sensor on it if you want it'll still have to be limited to 12. It's like saying BMW has developed this amazing new safety feature and has a brand new top range model coming out in a few months when this new safety feature will be commercially available but it will NOT use this new BMW developed and trademarked safety feature in the new range topping model, in fact they will buy it from someone else thus making the design and development process a total waste of money!! Totally and utterly STUPID right?

sonyericsson phones have awesome photo taking ability. thats a fact. the cyber-shot ones esp. u'll never have to worry about that part. the only concerns are the late launching and limited number of phones.
question to those of you that have info/work for sonyericsson(
badassman,mizzle,p.k, santa, nightblade, xell, etc), wats the deal with that? its understandable that they tryna maintain the quality, but nt many people appreciate that. people will still go out and buy nokias and samsungs.
so why not release lots of phones of nokia/samsung quality and a few sonyericsson quality phones for those that care? it wuld even work out cheaper wuldn't it?

Curious to know just how may people you know with 5 fingers? Also do you like putting lots of fingers on a 3.5 inch screen so you can't see it? It's a phone not a laptop trackpad.
