Hi

I have just received Route 66 Europe 2006 and although it is being sold as a 'European' version, I have realised that it is not possible to plan a route across international borders.

yeah, I noticed that. I guess the planning for trips like that can be done beforehand on something like autoroute and then plan the border points onto the phone.sucks a bit, but.....

Maybe tomtom will add it on their version now they know it's an issue!

One thing that bugged me on the way back from my trip the other day was the way it autozooms to a smaller map when you get around junctions. I'd like to keep in on a larger scale to plan lane changes ahead a bit easier! it had me cutting up Birmingham traffic a bit (which is not reccomended!)

Wayfinder can plan across borders just planned a route from my home in London to a hotel in Prague took about 15 seconds.

I am using MapView GPS on my P900 with a BT GPS device but I have no maps to use with it.

Could anybody mail me some uk maps or a link to them please?

i know mr keeps saying to wait for TT but i think TT have f*cked up by making us wait so long. ive been waiting for TT to be released for absolulety ages (almost a year or something) TT are showing no signs whatsoever of even releasing it so my advice is go buy route 66.

you cant wait forever for something that may never come or may take years. if you wait on the back of rumours then your going to be in for a hell of a long wait. go and buy route 66 at only £160 for the full kit by the time TT comes out it will have been worth it. you could be waiting another 12months for TT and going without sat nav.

Add another to your list: navicore.

A different question.. is there a bit of software that allows you to put in a FULL UK postcode and get back a co-ordinate that can be fed into any bit of navigation software that accepts such a co-ordinate?

navicore allows the first 4 or so character in a postcode, but not the whole lot. It does allow you to enter co-ordinates tho.

Thanks!

@gyre

Can you upload some screenshots of Navicore on UIQ, please?

Sure. Here are some screenshots.

Ask if you need anything explained on them.
