I have album art for most of the albums on my computer and after transferring 3gb of music to the phone through disc2phone none of the artwork was displayed, i now transfer the artwork myself through filemanager it is very tedious but works!! especially seeing as their are 158 albums on there!
i have tried my best to explain how i did this on the thread you have mentioned!

I will read again tomorrow... getting tired of the update not working on the W950.
My biggest annoyance is that I have a lot of Japanese music with the info all in Japanese. These display on my Sharp 902 but no chance I think for the W950...
WAAAAA!!!! I was trying again as I typed this reply... and I can see the Album Art now..
I had reformated the media memory, and started again!
Thanks again...! Hope to do albums one by one.. and get my W950 buzzing..
I got another question... This picture shows album art tiled across the screen..
Is it possible to get this view on the W950i or is it a photo for advertising purposes only?
Next I need to figure out mwv files as I can't get these to work.. ... I think I need to check the properties of these files..

When in the album section of the walkman there are three view modes at the bottom, to display as the picture, you need to select the 3rd option which looks like a 4 pane window and is directly above the open tab.
this mode is pretty useless though, until you have all the album art on as it doesn't display details of an album, so with no album art you wont know which album it is!!!

Well i am assuming it is the same for all Walkman and phones that can display it. I have used Disc2Phone to encode @192kbps. Then i have Picsa2 from Google that searches and indexes all pictures go to each album art these need to be jpegs then copy to a new folder and place in the album on the Memory stick. Open the folder cut the album art from inside the folder and place next to the tracks. Now delete the folder and then as if by magic when you start the album the art shows. I can't believe i actually got so excited when it worked and as sad as this sounds it is quite cool with the album art showing.

This afternoon, I want to try to play some wmv's. Yesterday, the phone just locked up!
I guess I to check the bitrates etc of the wmv's and how they were encoded ! Also what file types are allowed..

can't help with the wmv files as i havent tried them yet, altough i have successfully transferred 2 full movies across in mp4 and watched them!
something i never did with the p910i, due to being a tightwad and refusing to pay the £100+ for a 1gb ms when i first got the phone!!

My Sharp plays ASF and the quality is very good !

I copied two files using the file manager to the video dierctory, one was a RAM 8038kb and the other WMV 8778 kb.
Both show up in Menu > Entertainment > Video but neither will play.
I get this information on the screen

I not sure where to start looking for an explanation on this !
The video player then locks up and I can see a blue box flashing.. with the word 'busy' inside it !

Can someone or people confirm that o2 (over the phone - not instores) has stock of the w950, as i was told the 11th december. Think i'm being lied to, as every phone i asked about was "out of stock", all SE and the Sirocco - probably because my upgrade date is the 8th dec and they dont want me upgrading earlier!
Any major flaws with the w950 (software wise)? i dont really like the keypad, but think i'll get the hang of it
edit: is the o2 or voda branding bad?
