> s700i still rebooting

@vojta66,
Obviously you have not been keeping up with this thread. The problem with the s700i rebooting has been isolated and SE is working on a fix. Actually, this was isolated by me and SE4ME. Read back a few pages to know what is going on.

I have read all of it. It is nice to know that SE is working on "rebooting problem" to be fixed. But it is not solving the problem in a due course anyway, this is what I need.
And I do promise I will not post the same thing to several threads anymore.

We are all waiting. From the moment I discovered the problem and was able to repeat it, till the moment I received my third free s700i, and after my 5th time in the shop for an upgrade. As a hint, do not put the phone anywhere near metal while making a phone call.

Hey Sapporo,
When did you get your latest S700? Is it one of those made in '05? And it still reboots?

Regarding the reboot problem of the S700i when receiving call, I think installing a memory stick greater than 32MB,For example the memory stick duo 128 with some s700i phones ,will result in rebooting the phone when receiving a call,I do believe the problem is the memory stick addressing support,So it's better for SE to release Abetter F/W..

Guys,there's for sure a problem with Memory sticks!If i have my phone in any metallic surface & have the MS inside it & make a call the phone freezes & after a minute,it reboots!If i don't have the MS inside it,it'll ring as normal!For history,i have R3K004 software & hardware version is R4A,my phones' made in Japan,in 04W47!What the fcuk happens?

Pals, There must be a problem with the way the Memo stick interacting with the s700i when receiving a call, But the phone won't make any prob. with a memo stick 32M installed;So some s700i phones cannot address all memo locations.and this issue should be solved by the next firmware.,.,.,.

I hate to kill the "MS Duo" theorists, however, today and as I tested before, and it is posted in this thread, a 32mg, 64mg, or 128 mg will make the phone reboot. I tested this at SE, home and at a friends. Regardless, SE is aware and has stated so publicly. They are working on a fix and until then, there is little that can be done.

Hey Sapporo,
Have you thought about getting a 4th S700? One that is made in '05? Sounds like the newer ones are ok. I'm thinking about changing my one.
