Ok people.
I can tell you that yes 02 have approved the p990 and are currenlty waiting for all there stock from SE. This should be done in the next few days, Once stock has been received in there main warehouse this will be sent on to the stores.
The phone was delayed due to software glitches however most of these have now been resolved.
The phone is due to be delivered to the stores in the next few days so it shouldnt be too long.
I can confirm that all the features on my phone work fine. I have done video calling, Wap, MMS, SMS been able to send and receive docs. I havnt had one problem at all. and im very impressed with the phone.
If you need to know more then please ask.

Hi darrengf
Congratulations on your phone and it does indeed sound very stable just two questions.
How do you find its speed?
The $64,000 question can you please list your firmware version with all details?

Speed Wise not too bad. It takes just a little bit to open the programmes but if you leave them open then not really much of a speed problem.
I have had a few tech probs with the phone, but to be honest on the all they are nothing major.
Battery is not to bad to be very honest. Yes it is quiet a power hungry machine but not as much as i thought.
I used to own a Nokia N80. I hated everything about the phone, It was complicated to use, way too many menus to even change a ring tone. File manager was dreadful and the phone just kept on crashing after crash after crash. Battery life Well 14 hours on a good day on how i used it, P990 2 days and still have power left.
I hated the Nokia N80 Im not saying the phone wasn good, it was. But the battery and the camera are poor. 3mb (my VGA K700 took better pics)
The N95 is not going to have a bettr battery either so be warned.
Any other questions please ask

Just received a text with my PAC from O2 followed 10 mins later by a text saying the P990i has been delayed until 27-11-06. Conisdering I spoke to someone at O2 CS this morning who spoke to the "SWAT" team to confirm that w/c 13-11-06 is most likely to be stuck to I am shocked and disappointed AGAIN. No wonder they said they will do my 1000 mins, 200 sms tariff for £28 per month on a 12 month contract. I think the phone will hit the O2 stores before it hits O2 direct.
APPARENTLY THE HANDSET HAS A COMPONENT ISSUE HENCE THE NEW DELAY!!!

@darrengf
my O2 W950 has no real branding, is that also true for the P990? Could you also switch-off Jot and see what speed this has? Thanks
(PS - the W950 without 'transitions' is very very fast)
