if the xperia mini successor is being produced in China then that's good news, production won't be affected by the disaster aftermath in Japan. It might even make an appearance at the same time or even before Neo/Arc production normalizes.

My guess would be that even if the handset is assembled in China many key components (e.g. Sony's camera sensors) would be produced in Japan so don't count on an undisturbed production timeline.

Nice pics of the mini pro. I can't help imagining how good it would be if it was Walkman branded. It certainly has a look of an X series Walkman.

for those who visit Beijing....and being a die hard

fans
good to take some bus ride around the Wang Jing Area where SonyEricsson have a big office.
guess what?! ....I saw an employee of them taking bus playing with an X10mini pro replacement in white.
I thought this is forbidden in using a yet to launch phone without some covering????
now I seem to know why SE have so many leak picture....maybe its never intentional.
I can't say much about the phone since I didn't play with it, its just similar to all the leak picture showed.
oh yes, since I just able to see the side, it now look more balance in the length/ width / thickness ratio which we all
should expect since it have a bigger screen

@C96sthl I live not far from the SE offices in Beijing, never taken the bus around there though or noticed employees running around showing off new handsets. To be honest I'm not too surprised that an employee would disregard such a rule in China. Anyone who has spent time in China would realise that rules are treated more as guidelines around here and if one can get away with then usually one does it.

Yup Ricky
I can't agree more. It got to do with the way the society is. I think it is good not to hijack this thread but well can't help to say that when traffic light is used as guidelines....those rule to avoid public saw their prototype will ends up as guideline too.....unless you really have a management that is strict....like Apple
