Well the restore worked ok, but Handy Day 2004 seems to have lost some icons and hotkeys need restoring.
Speed-wise things seem OK at the moment - not a lot different to P900 days.
Mobipocket complains I have a new CLSID, so I'll have to change that to carry on reading my books...
I can't find the viewer app - I de-installed Quickoffice and now I can't open Office files so I had to re-install.
I'll also de-install Opera if the built-in browser does things OK - loads more space on C:!
Remote P900 works fine, all the contacts are back, calendar is OK.
More later...

this post looks like it could be a challenger to the fabulous "P800/P900 Videos" one that is closing in on the 1m views mark. Its certainly reached 19 pages the quickest of any other post I can see in Esato so far!

OK the phone's working good - I like the new browser, the speed is OK (doesn't seem a lot different), the HMTL mail is good. Adjusting the brightness of the screen is great. Synching with previous P900 backups is better than the P910!
Most apps seem to be OK - Tube, TotalIRremote, MidiWriter Pro, Remote P900, One For All Solitaires, Lemmings, PhonTuner, but...
Cons: Bluetooth isn't working. It bonds with my Plantronics headset but loses connection when trying to make a call.
Handy Day 2004 keymapping isn't working, but the rest of the app seems OK.
Quickoffice crashes! This could be a deal breaker for me. I've tried installing my original version and the latest from the Quickoffice site (I am a registered user). It won't even run. I need to read Office docs...
It seems the new P910 viewers must be on a separate CD? Anyone got any info?

Panic over! I de-installed Quickoffice and then found the Rom-based ve rsion using Sman. It all works now..
So just Handy Day & BT to fix, & I can live with them for now.
I have more functionality AND more space on c:
I'm happy!

I have some disheartening news about the Bluetooth problems associated with the conversion. Lead (the main programmer of Fighter) developed the conversion files on a prototype P910a, which was using the P900's Bluetooth chip (IRMA). Production P910's ship with a Blueberry chip, which uses a totally different firmware.
So, his original statement that the BT firmwares were interchangeable might be wrong after all. Hopefully he will be looking into this ASAP, because this conversion has obviously become a huge deal, worldwide...
