hello people,

I am the proud owner of every pre-paid gsm service launched in pakistan!!
Recently i switched to warid, after a lot of my pals did so, as the warid-to-warid charges were really attractive, esp 30secs billing.
However i am having one major problem: My warid-to-warid sms charge is 6.33 rupees! that is about a 100 times more than what it should be. I have shown this to the warid customer support at islamabad. They look really shocked, enter a complaint and then... nothing. Warid's customer support really sucks! its impossible to get through to the help line (321).
I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem

@SE7. Ok thanks man. I will finally decide after one month but info is very useful. @alitayyab. Yes customer support is almost non reachable but other problem i never heard or face my self. I think you might be the single special case facing it. Did any of your pal also faced it some time. I think answer will be no. Any how hope they fix their buggy service soon. People not want only cheap call rates. People need the quality of the service also. I also have all prepaid connections and i my self find that ufone is the best well balanced company when we compare overall performance. Regards. Umer This message was posted from a Nokia

@Umerhayat:

Do let me know when u finally decide which mobile handset you gonna purchase! May be i can prove to be of any help to u.

@alitayyab:

I friend of mine also encountered this problem of non-access to the helpline 321, but we found a way out of it, that it to call 111-111-321 from a PTCL # and u will definitely get through the cutomers services representative. By the way, the guy told me that their helpline centre is being up-graded which will take around two weeks that is why it is difficult to access the helpline through mobile!

i hope this solves your problem

i use to have a ufone connection, but gave up on it, cuz
it's wap related service didnt allow me to access certain pages, including samsung's wap site.
Also they charge on balance inquiry which isnt fair at all.
I really hope warid people sort out my problem otherwise i will go back to mobilink or telenor.

"New battery full performance is achieved only after two or three charge and discharge cycles!"

@BILAL. It means that when you charge new battery first time and use it , it do not give its maximum time standby, on second and third charge also the standby time is less, so after three time charging and then discharge when you charge and use 4th time then the battery starts giving its maximum standby time. Also the first three charges are very important to determine the battery life. So they say charge battery while hand set is off for first 3 times. That all i know about it. Regards. Hi. Means that you can charge battery in two ways 1- when your mobile is on 2- when your mobile is off. So you should charge the new battery 3 times by keeping your mobile off. Regards. Umer This message was posted from a Nokia

SUNDAY, 31 July, 2005
I read in today's newspaper that Chairmen PTA S.Alam has announced 68 paisa decrease in call charges from fixed phone to mobile. It is currently 2.80 and from tommorow onwards it will be
Rs 2.12 And next year it will be further decreased to 1.50
Mobile phone companies transmission rates are reduced to Rs 1.60 that were Rs 2 before, among which PTCL charges were 80 paisa but now its reduced to 53 paisa. According to him transmission charges will further be reduced to Rs 1.25 next year. According to him the mobile phone billing system would also be converted to per second billing from per minute billing.

Can anyone tell me that what are the transmission rates of mobile companies and would be there any effect of it on the terrifs.
Secondly, I think mobile charges from fixed line PTCL is Rs 4/min then how its reduced from 2.80 to 2.66

Waiting for someone answer.....Bilal.
