i have added some music folders to itunes but the album art is missing. how do i copy that over too?
In iTunes, highlight the group of songs you want to add a single album art picture to, or if its a single song, just highlight that.
On a windows computer, right click it, or on a Mac press control and click it. Then press "Get info" and it should be straight-forward from there.
I know on a Mac you can drag and drop images into the album art box. You probably can on a Windows computer too. Otherwise click it and you should be able to browse your files for the correct image.
I you have an iTunes membership, i believe album art is free, you just follow the steps I just wrote, but click "get album art" instead of "get info".
thanks that worked for some of my albums, but not all. the albums wernt originally from itunes, so i guess they aren't in their data base.

Has anybody successfully updated to 1.1.1 using a mac at all? Was thinking of taking the plunge!
Yes, I did it on a Mac, it's very easy to do. Just follow the guide at modmyifone.com

Yes if you hack it. Activate with iNdependence and Jailbreak it etc.
But out of the box the simple answer is No! You have to activate the phone through iTunes, which is where you sign up for your tariff etc and it links the simcard to the iPhone somehow.

Has it been confirmed which firmware will be shipping on the O2/UK handsets? I think the ones unveiled at the announcement were v1.1.1, but if it's a further release (as Apple are apparently running v1.1.2 internally) then it'll be a waiting game possibly.

My iPhone was software unlocked on 1.0.2. You have to virginize your phone before doing anything, everything you need to know is over at modmyifone.com, it's easier than you think. I upgraded to 1.1.1 without problem.

I am in the process or virginizing my iPhone using the guide at
http://www.modmyifone.com and have come across a problem.
I have added the appropriate files from the virginizer folder that i downloaded and have put it into /usr/bin
Then it tells you to go to terminal and type;
ssh -1 root iPhones IP Address
I have done this but i get an error and just wondered if somebody knows what to do to rectify it?
Here is a screenshot so you can see what i mean;

I've heard that you'll only be able to use particular simcards with the O2 iPhone i.e. not exisiting ones.
