I had it, it was the alarm for a new upgrade. Fortunately my service friend has all fw for every fones, so do hope they will work for a long time. My only fear is the batt, should get some more and keep them unformatted in case the older die.

today in my shop i saw a woman calling with her phone. a T28s with a crack in the screen. i asked her why she still used it.
she said: i know there's a crack in the screen and the battery only last for a day, but its the best phone i ever had. its sad that ericsson quit the phone business.
i asked what about SE.
she said: to much sony infulence.
i strongly agreed

@bart :-) :-) :-) great story! U should have invite her to esato! According the batt standby time, bus 10 and 11 should last longer, guess she didnt charge it well.

T28 came with bus10, so the batt is ca 4 years old. Seems, thats the max life time, however my bus 11 batts offer uhe same performance after 3-4 years. Maybe bsl and bhc last longer, as i remember, from li-pol batts disappear ca 1g of the 'gel' whch is in the batt, in average in a year.

don't forget that BUS-10 is the prototype battery, the mother of all li-polymeer battery's today.
i find it quit normal that the battery wears down. it wasn't a very powerfull one (in term of mAh) and it was the first of its kind).
back then most phone started going from nicd to nihm, those were the good old /// days

Indeed, on some way they were more trusteable and powerful, the memory effect was a great and useful idea. The high cap worked ca a week with 3xx models.
