@Geezay
1. Increase the COM por speed of SyncStation on the Control Panel -> System -> Hardware. Doesn't change much, but it might help!
2. Get a cheap memory card reader (like with 20 in one). It will be useful for you in the future (for cameras, etc).

What happened to the P910i gripes?

My Gripe - The slooooow transfer speed of files from PC using sync station!

That may be your gripe...and fair do's... but I would give anything to be able to at least transfer some files no matter what the speed

sailaab....I'm not a man

As for the unprotected pc going online...I can't afford to do that as I spend most of my computer time online and can't risk the viruses etc.

Don't know how to go about using a spare hard disk.

...and don't want to use my other pc as I want to sell it.

There HAS to be a way of being able to use antivirus software and still being able to attach the phone! I can't believe something so modern in technology as this phone, haven't seen this problem in advance and worked around it

@kazzy...im sure there is a workaround.....i remember having a tough time setting up my first pseries phone (p800) to function as a modem so that I could access the net on my laptop using the gprs connection on the phone ( I didnt have the syncstation and I was trying to do it through BT)....and mind you....I had McAfee AV running all thetime....and the windows firewall on....but it functioned flawlessly, once i got it right ( realised that i was not enabling/disabling the right com ports)
Then when I got my p910....and tried doing it through the syncstation....i was able to get it right after a lil struggle.....Basically if you are using the sync station to just transfer stuff to/from phone the respective com ports needs to be checked in the phone connection link properties.....But if you are using the syncstation to just get online using the gprs connection on your phone...this port needs to be unchecked in the link properties and it usually works like a charm, despite antivirus and firewall being on...

Also, in case of scenario one ( using the DSS to just transfer stuff) you need to make sure that the respective comports are enabled in the phone monitor options in the control panel..
And as I mentioned earlier, this eventually works....its just a matter of getting it right once...so dont be disheartened.

I had the same Sync problem as Kazzy. I have solved my Problem!! I was told by SE that the fact that my phone icon never appeared although my (black) connection icon said connected, was due to other conflicts on my computer & not thier problem. After reinstalling the PC Suite software a number of times with various options, nothing worked. It was only when I put my phone on my mate's cradle that I realised that my problem persited on his PC. I reset my phone and I now have no problems (to date). Let me know if this works for you, Kazzy.

I've got exactly the same problem as Kazzy and KSquare have. How did you reset the phone, KSquare?
