Is it possible that the first charge on the W800i has only taken around 1h45min to reach max capacity? Because mine got charged that quickly...

zigy, yes, but you'll find that a new battery will only reach it's full charge after a couple of charge cycles have passed.

Also, keep in mind the battery only needs about two hours to be fully charged. There is no advantage in leaving the battery on charge for any longer than that.

In my case I put it on charge at night and take it off in the morning, but I only do that because I'm too lazy to remember to take it off after two hours so it just stays on until morning. However lithium batts don't trickle charge - they just stop charging after two hours. So there is no practical difference between charging for two hours, or charging all night - it achieves the same thing.

No worries New lithium batts usually come with atleast 50% charge, depending on how long they have been on the shelf.

I usually wait till the battery goes flat but after reading the thread about the battery, i may be doing damage, On my old Z600 i had to charge it every nite as the bluetooth headset i was using had a serious current drain on the battery. Have to say the same bluetooth i use with the k750 lasts a good few days.

dude, you are not damaging the batt by letting it run dead, because the batt has circuitry that turns it off once the voltage drops below a critical point. Therefore when the phone shuts down from low battery, there is actually still charge in the battery. By turning the battery off, it is prevented from running at too low a voltage and is therefore saved from damage.

There is no point in running it dead though. There is no memory affect on lithium batts so you needn't do a deep cycle charge (run batt dead, then recharge fully) to maintain the battery; that is only necessary on older batteries.

Ive just come back home after a weekend away. Four days with alot of use of camera/flash, walkman and calls and the phone still had abit of a charge left. Im amazed as my Nokia's dont last more than 36hrs, but then again theres always a Nokia charger around.

I never wait for my battery to fully discharge. I use the phone intensively, and still i charge it every three, maximum four, days!

Way better than my old k700!

Sorry, might be me being a bit dumb. I need a quick answer since i'm getting a w800i soon.

The question:

Is it enough if i let the phone charge to full capacity (about two hours) the first time?
