Hiya, there is a site in Belgium and it's also free, but if you want to send a message or place a post, then you have to send an sms to a special number with a code that is given to you. This sms costs about one EURO and then you have unlimited access to the site for one month. Isn't this a good idea??? That way it's still free, to look at, and one euro is nothing....
See ya all...

Hi, it would be really sad if this would have to close down.
I think the idea of a pro-user membership could be good. The pro-user would pay some bucks per year and get some nice features as opposed to the normal user which are FREE to join.
The pro-user could use a personal icon in posts, be surfing esato without banners, having his real number of posts shown, get an Esato Fan-club sticker for the T68i battery
,
Has anyone other ideas?
I would pay 10-20$ for this.

@Mimzo
Mirrors are a no go idea because most (if not all) of Esato's pages are server side (dynamicly generated)
@Dagger
I've been there now and then but I seem to be the only person there
Maybe we should move to EFnet or DALnet?
I spend most of my time there!

I don't know if anyone is still watching this post...
I can offer some hosted space (in the UK) with almost 1Gb transfer a month if it will help... maybe just to reduce the costs.

How is this? Since most of us here use ericsson phones, how about leveraging the synchronizing capabilities of the T39m and T68i series phones and support email, phone book, notes, and tasks 2 be synched?! For an annual fee? By the way can the T68i forward a new email on the server to another address, either by changing TO: or by a Forward sub-menu? Thanks!

I would be willing to contribute to paypal for thsi site. Laffen, take the donations for now get as much $ as you can for the time being and run the site even if it only enough $$ for 6 months. During which time you can figure out how to make this work more long term.
Also enlist SE's help. Man they should help you out. Look at what great marketing this site is for SE Devices!! The tech support alone is killer. You get an amazing amount of traffic here. I dunno how many hits per month you get but surley its alot! That many people in 1 place for long periods of time is worth a nice peice of change to someone! Tell SE this and tell them you are solicating them first since we are mostly SE owners/fans here. But if you have too you still have a hughe Mobile phone audience and will goto Nokia is necessary and start cateringto a Nokia audience.
Basically what I am saying is sell yourself to them and make them understand what a valuable resource you are for them. For them to pass you up would hurt them in the long run.
Post a paypal address here and alot of us will help you out.
GL!
