I had norwegian as the main language on the phone before i updated the fw. After I've updated the fw there is no other option than english or language according to sim. Which means english.
I tried to update again to fix this problem but no solution. Has this problem occured to anyone else before? And in which case whats the solution?

ive had this problem with several phones already (k700, k600, w550) and the only way out was to do a reflash via davinci. it may be because SEUS has problems with phones with some sort of crap in there already before the update is applied. since the last time this happened to me i've been doing a full master reset before i do an seus update

well in that case thanks for the solution but i rather keep english as menulanguage. i won't spend a credit just to have norwegian. but i am surprised that i can't choose other languages than english. there are always more than one option since languagepacks come in series

You obviously updated to a region firmware with limited languages, if you'd updated to a suitable European firmware which had Norwegian as an option (i.e. the same region the phone had initially) then it should have included Norwegian in its language-pack. If it's not in the menu, then you can't add it later, only way to do so is by reflashing with correct firmware or with modified/additional languagepacks (which seem to be fairly rare).

You can use Multiserver to flash the phone.
The latest firmware available for W900 is R5BC004.
Remeber that the firmware is debranded that means that there is no provider branding (icons, logos, wallpaper etc), mp3 and pm4 can be easily played on unbranded firmare because there is no DRM restrictions, up to 10 Mb more free space due to removing all the branding, unlocked WAP, MMS and browser settings, ability to select betweed GSM and 3G networks and more esp if you are upgrading from an earlier firmware version.
More detailed info on flashing and unlocking can be found here

Just have to add that when flashing with Multiserver one credit can be used to do several things: Change language + Upgrade firmware + Decustomize
Mulitserver is a pay-per-credit software.
Credit info is here
http://www.cellcorner.com/xsh[....]erver-unlock-flash-credit.html
When buying several credits at a time the price is as low as $9. With the current currency rate it's candy change

"New" W900 firmware on SEUS?
I just ran SEUS on my W900i (EU2 CDA as per
http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=113721&start=165
and it has just updated the firmware from R5BC004, to R5BC004. Kinda wierd. Still lets me disable 3G though. Not sure why it thought it was an upgrade
