@masseur

Whilst what you say is true, one must remember that the Queen is Queen of Australia as much as she is Queen of the United Kingdom. In her role as Queen of Australia the Queen would be classed as Australian, so Britain technically doesn't have any control over Australian affairs through the Queen. The Queen can only be advised of Australian affairs by Australian ministers, not British ones.

@ Scotsboyuk .. Im about a 45min drive from Singapore (most of that time is going through customs though) manage to go a couple times a month. But at moment visiting wifes family up north for Chinese New Year. Sitting out watching the sunset and having a cup of Earl Grey and a Cigar. Probably be going to Singapore on the 15 Feb. as we will be visiting wifes family here for another week yet. Will have to check out Raffles.. Theres so many good places in Singapore and here in Malaysia to go to.

Watching the sunset with an Earl Grey and a cigar! You jammy *@#%!£^!

One of my favourites is to sit on the terrace at the Negresco in Nice with a brandy and a cigar watching the sun set over the Med.

@SsTiTcH

Congratulations!

Dunhill do rather nice cigars although I am more of a Romeo y Julieta man myself (Montecristo do a nice morning cigar mind you). I tend to like a strong cigar after dinner, a nice R y J or even a Bolivar sometimes. Anyway I see that this thread is going rather off-topic .... or is it? After all cigar smoking is rather British (of course one does remove the band if one is British).

As I recall, a nice Guinness does Scotsboyuk a treat. Must be about time we went for another pint, eh?
