Opera Mini is great, but remember every thing goes via the "big" Opera servers, so you're putting a lot of trust in them if you are doing personal/private stuff.
Now, personally I couldn't care less, it's not like I work for the CIA. But that's why you get this great speed/rendering, the big servers download the content, reformat it, compress it then send it to your phone.
That's also why there's no "proxy" option, because Opera Mini isn't doing any of the real rendering work, it's all being done by the remove servers, all Opera Mini has to do is display it on the screen.
Opera Mini is not really a true web browser, it's basically just a dumb input/output program, the remote Opera servers do all the work. The License Agreement mentions all this, and that you agree Opera can use the stats from your sessions for their whatever purposes.

Yeah, and k750 boy here is getting miffed coz Opera seems to be slowing down no that more and more users are getting it and they've opened it up to the world.
Miss the days when it was only available in Norway.
Then again... maybe it is the newer versions?
God knows.

TO EVERYBODY:
--> DON'T USE THE OPERA FROM THE OPERA SITE !!!
Use instead the one distributed by Sony Ericsson:
Here --->
http://www.sonyericsson.com/s[....]=10183&fid=8409&ext=1&esi=true
I enquired SE about they having an Opera version *above* the Opera site and they answered that Opera on Sony Ericsson is fine-tuned for the P series.
One of the main differences it that uses up less memory.
Have fun!
