Oh i know yeah obviously i don't expect to get it free but if i can get it for around £100 on a decent tariff on 02 i will be happy.

it also coincides with my exams finishing and my 14 week holiday starting
i only just found out today about the p990s ability to photograph a business card and store the detais. thats quite amazing for a phone.

At the moment i'm on an o2 online contract, pay £25 a month and get 1000 off peak xnet minutes and 1000 anytime texts. I didn't get a phone with it, but will call them up and ask them to send me a p990i, i'll say i'll leave if not (doubt it'll work as my minimum term is only 30days) but i'll be willing to pay £300ish for the handset.
Otherwise o2 do 750 off peak xnet & 750 texts for £25 and you get a phone, most free, if I can get the p990i for about £200 here i'll be happy
I was gonna buy it sim-free, but thought if I get it on contract, in a year i'll get an upgrade
