There is no filament in a Xe flashlamp: it is an electric arc that lights the Xe gas inside the bulb. And that is also why this type of lamp cannot be continuously lit. It would consume way too much power (and I mean several tens of watts here) and the lamp would also almost instantly melt due to heat generation by the arc.

Just make sure its the last thing in the camera folder, then whenever u need ur torch:
Press top left button (above screen)
Then down on the joystick
When you say last thing in the folder - does that mean that whenever you take a new picture, it will overtake the white file?
Were you meaning first thing in the folder? Cheers!

@shuja91,
Why aer you posting crap? If you do not know then don't say anything. You state that you have not seen the phone but it must be there. Well the function is not there. The k800i has a Xenon light while the other phones had an LED.

Actually it isn't that hard to make a midlet that uses the red/orange led as a torch. This using the newly implemented JSR 234. Did this myslef, works quite well =)

IMO, they should have kept the LED flashlights instead.
At least if you really xenon flash, there's MXE-60.

It should have both IMO, and the LED should be placed on top of the phone so we can use it like a regular torch -- we don't need that for the camera anymore.
