Couldn't see any photoblogging myself on my Orange branded version (not UK Orange but Switzerland Orange).
I am now unbranding my phone. Hope it works... First time I do that so kinda keeping my fingers crossed...

It went perfectly fine. I used WotanServer.com and it was a breeze. This is going to be my last post on Orange K800i forum since my phone now is no longer Orange (if I don't consider the little sticker which is the only remnant of it's "orangeness").
I suggest everyone who wishes to take unbranding into consideration. Once unbranded the phone connects itself to the network and downloads all the connection settings (MMS, GPRS and so on) independently from the operator.
All in all I am really happy about having an "original" K800 as the icons are much bigger (and look far better in my opinion) and the system is faster and more stable (it does not load two welcome screens (Orange on top of
)).
Another thing...
The paying system of Wotan was in italian (browser setting and my mother tongue) but the guys over at Wotan managed to give me, almost in real time, a perfect assistance...

I got a free unbranded k800 on o2 (£20 a month with 1000 mins offpeakfor 12 months) andthen just placed myorange 3g sim card the phone.
I use Orange more than o2 as there network and 3 g coverage is so much better for me.
I havnt had any problems at all with the phone and had no problems with using the orange sim card.
I upgraded from the n80 and are far happier with the k800i.
The menu are so much faster and the camera quality is out standing.
The only one little gripe i have is why cant we record in vga quality with the camera. This is such a shame to a outstanding phone.
2 of my friends have just got the k800i on orange and are impressed with the phone but think that the main menu looks cheap and lets the phone down, Theres no update service menu or play now.
Its such a shame the orange cant leave the phone on how it was built by SE.
If they did this,they would get even more business.

Just one question that I'm hoping that one of the clever chaps here can shed some light on:
Before the unbranding, the only time the light blue GPRS triangle appeared (above the signal strength indicator) was when using the internet or sending an mms. Since the unbranding it's on all the time. Is this normal or should it only come on when initiated by an action such as browsing the web? More importantly, am I likely to be incurring any additional costs if it is on? (I have 300 voice mins and 100 standard txt included per month) - sorry if the question is a bit noobish!!!

My Orange K800i always has the 3G icon when in range. It only disappears in low reception areas.

As suggested in another thread, I've reset my data counter and will keep an eye on it. It may well just be indicating that the phone has GPRS reception.

I tried unbranding my french orange k800 and setting a spanish CDA and unfortunately my phone died. It flashed fine, but when turning it on the "please wait" message stayed there forever. I tried restarting it again and now it wont turn on.
I read somewhere that it might have been because I flashed it with the SIM and memory card inside, any of you succesfull flashers did it the same way? Because im going to get a replacement and dont want to try to flash it again if its going to end up dead again.

Hi I was just wondering if you figured out if it was just to indicate that it has GPRS reception because I want to unbrand too - but would like to know before doing so
