yup, I've worked in call centres, and the joke is just as funny if the call centre is Australian as if it's Indian, so it's not a joke about Indians, but a joke about Call Centres.

I remember a story in which a guy asked an old lady to open up the computer cover while on the phone...but lady did not bother to power the system off! the next moment he hears some screaming sound and the line disconnected! The guy was terrified and kept checking the ladys case logs for two months to see whether it was updated..which meant she had not er..GONE
