I had a Nokia 1620 on One2One as my first phone back in I think it was 1995?
Sim the size of a credit card, 5 yes a whole FIVE ring tones, You couldn't even text back then because texting didn't even exist & you where lucky to get a signal out in the country side.
You also lost the signal on motorways when you went over 90 mph ( dont ask how I know )
Sure the K800I isnt perfect but give SE time & they will get there, Maybe not with the K800I but with its replacement.
If people got in touch with SE & tell them what they would like changed for the next generation of phones then eventually everybody will be happy.

1. The K800i is meant to be the flagship camera phone for SE yet they dont supply any memory card... Most digi cam companies offer a small card to start off with as well as there internal memory!
2. Why cant they have good sound quality AND good camera quality in a single phone? Nokia have done it in the N73 (which i've been using for a month or so and it is amazin! in all areas!) The K750i and W800i habe good cam an good sound quality so why not the K800i?
3. Nokia experiment a lot with all their high end phones (anyone for full screen TV output?) so why cant SE? It doesnt matter how big a player u r! JESUS EVEN VK CAN EXPERIMENT and lets not forget Lobster who have just released a TV enabled phone in the UK!!! lol.
And finally SE dont seem to wanna innovate and be first to market... I know its hard to release equipment before anyone else but they did a big thing with the K750i and W800i and then only managed to release the K800i a week or two b4 the N73 which power wise has more features and is a much better all round phone!
on that note i'll leave the floor open i'll start a thread about how crap the P990i is... lol

My two friends have the N73, and while im quite impressed with it, the camera isn't quite as sharp as the K800i's.
My digital camera cost me £400.00 earlier this year and didn't come with a memory card, I guess sony are keeping the cost down, the phone has like 80mb of storage or so (cant remember off my head) but that will hold quite a few pictures before they need transferring to pc, afterall this is just a phone with a good camera, it's primary function being a mobile phone.
To the person who started this thread, it seems like you brought the wrong phone in the first place? All of your complaints (apart from the crashing issue, which sounds like either a faulty phone, or vodaspecific issues) seem to be with the phone not fulfilling your needs, i'd have done some further research.
While the only thing I wish my K800i did was play louder mp3's through the headphones i'm certain after trying out nearly everyphone I purchased the right one for me as i often take snaps of random things when im out and about and for that its' great!
My battery dosn't last that long either but i've read that turning off 3g will improve battery life? I don't actually use 3g very often so keep it off.

1)k800, 790 come with 64 cards... carriers being cheap is not SE's problem
k800i brown comes with 512.
my n73 came with 128 my e61 came with 64
2) the sounds quality is fine on the k800i, and a2dp support is good as well.. the only thing they did was take out the walkman interface
3)SE experiments are smaller in scale.. they release less products.. you don't think the m600i is an experiment? how about the w850i and w950i/900 all have new functions that they are testing out whether it;s hardware or software... nokia just does it at a larger scale.. the k800i is the bread and butter therefore you don't really mess with that phone.. you make sure it's embraced by the market
4)meh the n73 is slow, the mp3 isn't good. the camera is comparable to the k800i, but the video is better.. that's about it...se has reached another level in the business cycle.. they're finally in a stage where the basic se ui is stable enough to mass produce in various form factors and leverage off the "brands" they're not in the tech race anymore as long as they release comparble products they'll be safe to grow and increase marketshare
the only thing nokia has introduced is wifi ... and heck it' s quite an accomplishment otherwise.. they're not really ahead in the tech race... UIQ will hopefully mature in the next year and we'll see some devices that can be comparable to s60 i hope..
but se standard UI (a100 platform) has easily beaten s40 to pulp (regardless of marketshare)

Oh yeah, by a long shot. s40 is bloodied and bleeding in a ditch....
SE non-smartphone UI is the best there is (amongst non-smartphones).

when u buy a digi cam they just usually give u a 64mb card...that doesnt do anything....i rather not get a card for the phone that get one...what if they give u like a 64mb card..it can barely do anything...then u guys would be bitching bout it again. u spend so much on the phone already...u might as well spend a little bit more on a memory card cuz u'll have to buy one either way. and if they include a memory card the phone might cost like $50 - $100 more then u'll be even more pissed of when u have to go and get a bigger card cuz they only give u a 64mb.

Phantom, totally agree with you, i love my K800i and wouldn't swap it for anything. It fit's my needs perfectly. I take pics quite regulary with my K800i and that Xenon is just what was needed. If you require a flash lite, you can download a Java app as someone else has mentioned.... Be warned!!! it's bright... brighter than 2x bulbs on my K750i

Im my case its was Nokia's ( Words I cant say on a public forum ) reliability with 2 different phones & lack of customer care that made me decide never to buy a Nokia product ever again.
