But, you say we are smaller today. Yet the human race is increasing in height. In England you can find old houses and then be shocked when you see the door heights etc.

Thats true.
Really old churches and buildings have really small doorways. I went to a really old pub in N Wales - I think it was in Ruthin - and I had to crouch through the doorway to get inside!

Yes we think they have been explained,im still not convinced though how 1000 Ton rocks could be moved and placed so accurately without any wheels or lifting equipment available at the time...you have to take account the Size,accuracy and perfect symmetry of the Pyramids...its still very much a mystery as far as im concerned.

Well that’s still true of today; if you look at many from the Far East you will notice that the larger majority are smaller than Europeans.

I find this hard to believe as all evidence points to the opposite (we are taller now days).
Stonehenge is interesting; having been there myself it does make you wonder how it was built. (I think it even pre-dates the pyramids by many, many years?)
Also the large statues built by the Easter islanders are also amazing too.

@masseur - My brother reads a lot of Daniken pocket books when he was about 8 or 9. The author discusses about paranormal things in our planet .. . . tackling mostly about - UFOs
He (my brother), almost LOST his SANITY after reading about 3 or 4 of his books

Stonehenge is rather fascinating because in terms of the culture who built it, it would have been an enormous feat of engineering. Such things can sometimes not look all that impressive to us because we are capable of constructing them with relative ease, but to the people of the time these would have been the equivalent of building a skyscraper.
Interestingly enough with regards to life expectancy, it is said to have reached a high during the Upper Paleolithic, and then declined. It didn't recover in Britain until medieval times, that's a timespan of approximately 10,000 years. It didn't really advance all that much until the 19th century. It is perhaps interesting to point out that current life expectancy for some parts of the world isn't much more than during the Upper Paleolithic.
