i have both the w950i and the p990i, and it would be nice to have the same player on the p990i if possible, although i am happy with the media player on the p990i, it is nice to have a choice! especially seeing as i bought the w950i through my business contract on o2 as they market it as a business phone also, yet it is supplied without the office apps, which are supposed to be on there!!!
at the end of the day they are both smartphones on uiq 3 and i do believe you should have a choice which apps you can have on the phone, they don't have to be free, just to have the choice would be nice!!
they could probably make a small fortune selling the walkman app to p990i users anyway!!

you have both???? i envy you. hehe i truly agree with you. i'd pay for the music app for my p990.

Whilst posting from your P990 is cool quoting in every single post certainly isn't especially when what you are quoting is either on the same page or just above it. Could everyone please stop this totally unnecessary and very irritating habit as it really is getting totally out of control. This is not my campaign it was started by Johnex i am just trying to draw peoples attention to it in the vain hope it will cease. Every ones co-operation would be greatly appreciated.

Good post. I am guilty of this myself sometimes.
I also think that it is about time that this thread be closed simply because as much as we would like SE to succumb to our wishes, chances are that they won't. It does not make business sense for them to have the w950 .mp3 player canibilzed just to be installed in an M600i or P990. As mentioned before, the three phones are designed and sold to different markets which naturally precludes SE from allowing this to happen.
