Super Sexy phone....except for the odd reboot once in 2-3 days its fine ..gud use of task manager does the job ..
the qwerty keyboard is very gud and if u r fast typer on the pc keyboard u can do the same here ...the phone has super sexy ultimate looks ..and best 2mp camera i have seen..only lacks in infinite outdoor shots where it gives less brightness then w800/k750.In all other departments the camera is gud too..the screen is crystal clear...

Only thing i dont like abt this phone is loudspeaker sound ..i had a w800 before this and man i just dont like the speaker sound at all..

Overall i would say it's a phone for an expert user not for a person who wants to purchase it after owning an entry level phone or somewhat like that..
whosoever wants to buy it ...dude u r buying the best phone available in the market today ...

My ownership experience with my Orange branded P990i ownership was like this; (previous VERY happy P800, P900 owner)

First day = confused but no bugs

second day= Oh dear what have i done, its crap. but no bugs

rest of first week= hey NOW i am used to UIQ3 & still no bugs

first month= i love this phone its ten times better than old Pseries still no crashing or bugs

Now i REALLY like this phone alot, i could have easily sold it on during first week & can see why some people did (early firmware was awfull but mine is later firmware) i say that those who sold their phones are missing a great piece of kit, best points,

Good one handed use
Superb camera
amazingly good WiFi
Great feel
Lovely lovely adjustable brightness screen
Mine was £200 BNIB off ebay so also good value

NOTE, if i had paid £400 for a bad firmware one as many people did i too would have been very unhappy, & i think THEY are the ones who rightly slag off the P990.

Got it last night - played with it since 6am this morning - first thing i did was to install the swissmanager. I have not updated the firmware as yet as I need to try this firmware with my BMW Bluetooth - Some firmwares seem to work with the BMW BT system and some don't - if it don't work then i'll update and if it does I'll just live with the current firmware

So far just one reboot when I was going in to write a SMS - overall it seems to be a smashing piece of kit

Camera quality seems amazing!

One thing though - The sound quality is S H I T when compared to the good old P910 - 900 series.

The speaker sounds more like an AM radio station rather than an FM radio station - if you know what I mean!? Its just not clear.....

Is this normal? The sound is very MONO like?

Cheers

You should play a bit with builtin equalizer. I use to change setup from time to time according to type of music and song's original quality so at the end sound is quite good for me.

I just did it and for me there is noticable difference. For example Clasical is louder than Pop but more like mono sound. Rok is more FM like than MegaBas but it depends on music one is listening at that moment IMO.

Am very keen on ditching my Nokia N90 for the P990i. But I want to know if I will be able to play my previous videos I have taken on my N90 which are recored in Mpeg4 with 352 x 288 res.

Any ideas guys????

Apart from that, if I can get a posititive answer on this, then I will be putting in my order asap.

Thanks
