Well I have just got sick of the phone crashing all the time and have decided to return it. The reason I got the P990 over the M600 was the WiFi, but the WiFi is as good as useless on this phone.

I really really wanted this phone to work, I convinced myself that SE would not release a phone that was as bad as people were saying and that only negative feedback was being posted.

I am so disappointed, I have been a big (sony)ericsson fan, but I fear that this was my last SE phone.

Admittedly the problems are probably a combination of vodafone (UK) and the P990, but why should i need to send a phone off to get rebranded.

i sent the P990 back. I bought a T-mobile branded HTC TyTn (MDA Vario II). This phone is so much better.
Smoother operation, WiFi works.
As for the 3G connection, with the HSDPA protocol it is almost as fast as my broadband at home.

As for networks, i switched from vodafone to t-mobile, and where i live (cambridge) the signal is stronger. i get (un)limited data for £7-50 month.

@francoisp, you seem to have lot of grudges after those bundles of se phones. if you are unhappy then leave and be free but dont drag others to join your personal motives.

technology is not stable nor perfect but rather practical. and it offer us options to learn and experience, and grow. and you are on the opposite.

I own an P800, P910 and Bluetooth pen, a MBW-100 and I was very happy with all of this, I like SE, but with the P990, they pushed it too much.
600$ for a phone that did not work!

the bluesheep follow the group without thinking .... like a sheep, this is cheap

forgot the say, i ll see the small claim court judge tomorrow.

as you said p990 did not work then you didnt think an option of returning it, request for a new unit or just simply act for a lawsuit. man you are such an irrational , id rather throw my unit and break it. then hate se for the rest of your life.. what then after, everytime you are not satisfied with a thing or idea you turn your mind to lawsuits. the world will never grow with your state. your world is immature. wake up.

so, for you, it is ok to leave company abusing the consumers ... releasing unfinished product and then refuse to support it.

companies should get ticket when they take the consumers for idiotes, and this is what i am going to do.

in you way of "returning" or "braking", you do not make SE learn from their mistake. Recalls and fixes in the car industry come from people like me that does not bend (to be f.ck) by the corporation.

if it gets enough expensive for SE, trust me, they ll stop releasing unfinished products.

the P990 crashed when you get an SMS during a phone call, if you have enough applications installed, this quality it for not being a functional cellphone from a "law point of view". this will cause SE a lot of recalls in USA, and with a class action, you make sure that they actually spend the money on it, not only say "we are fixing it ... " and do nothing.

your vision of the world Mister Bluesheep is very naive, much more than mine. You are a victime of the companies, and you feel smart by not doing anything ...
