Dear Koto, Thanks for your suggestion. today i tested one p990i in the SE showroom. Its got a killing looks and gr8 features but i got disapointed when it suddenly restarted while trying to do multitasking like runing media player and trying to sms. i tryed the same again but this time it worked. after that it rebooted again while sending picture just after clicking to my old k750i via bluetooth. This was enough for me to put the money back in my pocket. I checked the FW version it was R7. I have requested the SE representative to upgrade the FW to latest R10 and call me again tomorrow again. Hope it works fine with the updated FW. Have my fingures crossed now. i really want to buy this if heart's inner voice is considered but my mind is not leting me do this. PLZ HELP

This is somehow public acknowledgment of the failure of their P990!!!!! To go in a showroom and the phone shown to reboot?!?! WOW. This is SOOOO bad.

Yes its a SE showroom and The p990i was taken out of the box for demo. its loaded with R7. I am not sure if R10 is out as i myself haven't checked. but the guy in SE said he will update it to r10 (may be i heard him wrong) i can tell you tomorrow after checking that.

You should try it with the latest fw but it is sad you don't have a few days for trying, than you can say with certainty. I wish you good luck and smart choice:)
