Ill be getting one of these next week. Is it a must that it has to be restarted on a regular basis?
Absolutely not. You can leave the phone on without worrying about having to restart it. If it needs to be restarted, the phone will reset itself. Smartphone.

Congrates WD40 and JOJO for the world record of uptime. this is really encoraging for p990i users. This is also a proof of stability of the p990i latest Firmware. keep posting your pictures if you can manage to achive few more days

Mine is 5 days and I had to reboot cuz I traveled thru a few countries and my 3G wasn't working anymore. But I didn't use the phone for internet and that's why it stayed up for so long. Usually with internet and e-mails I get about 2 days and then I have to restart cuz of low-mem.

how much are people using their phones to have it up for 5+ days without a charge? after a day of listening to music and phone calls, playing games mines ready for a charge and if i dont it will go flat the next day.

I just run 2G, saves loads of battery life over 3G.

Wow Draxx, that is impressive. What are you doing to keep that much RAM free? I find that once my RAM drops below 8 or 9MB that it's not as usable as I'd like anymore (becomes difficult to run both Web/Messaging and MP3 player together). After about a day's uptime, I'm already down to about 9MB right now...
