JiveTalk - an IM program that caters for ALL programs such as Google Talk, Yahoo, MSN

The are loads of PUSH Services straight to your BB, like News, Weather, Sport, Health, Website - any RSS Feeds

And how many phones can you upload the latest OS from any Carrier.

Hey that last sentence is MY line!

> Currently I have multiple Themes available from my BB Pearl.

AT&T Wireless (USA) Theme

Vodafone Theme

* I mainly use it for training of my colleagues - since I have level 1 certification for desktop & BB Security from RIM directly. However with simulators its NOT the same, so with screenshots I update our db for widespread knowledge - but they hardly EVER search for it since they can always instant message me. I work at IBM.

- IM:
* From provider push wapped Service Books > GoogleTalk, Yahoo IM Live is good, but I'm annoyed that Yahoo doesn't allow me to put in my hotmail email address/pw - its SUPPOSED to allow convergence of messaging between MSN Messenger & Yahoo Messager (on PC at least). So everyone I've added try's to message me but I KEEP getting an annoying message.

* BB Messenger - I cannot STAND this app. its usesful, but when I log into it; there is NO signing OUT. It never FULLY closes, thus you HAVE to uninstall it.

* Sametime the messenging app that IBM provides is available for BB's IF you're on a BES that has that Server running on that same machine that the BES is on - or at least 1 of the machines BES.

* IM, Yahoo gives pressence. A screenshot if you will.
shoot I don't have it installed at the moment.
bah I just installed it here it is & the error I mentioned above.

Yahoo Presence

Yahoo Messenging Error with MSN incoming.

PUSH-EMAIL:
Most ppl don't get this. I send you an email to purchase your phone. You're getting ready to leave to go eat lunch, then off in a rush to leave for work. You get that email JUST BEFORE you press the power button on your computer. You read it and reply saying the price I offered - initially - is too low. Again you're about to leave and I quickly reply - "$50 more, ok?!"; and you agree with "deal, same meeting spot".

THAT is PUSH EMAIL! But I can categorize in COLOR which email is from the corporate BES / Hosted-BES, from personal emails!

TEXT:
Threaded SMS - built in. Not stylized, like some WindowsMobile Apps and more seemless than what the Palm Treo 750 has natively.

Also the ability to fine tune the FONT - type & size which is something overlooked even in BASIC phones! attrociously overlooked as NOT everyone has 20/20 vision!

BB Maps
8800 has the GPS chip within, the BB 8100 doesn't

8100 BB Maps over EDGE

This just touches a few things of what a BB can do.

Also Weather apps that fetch weather information using data connection. My favorite is FULL IMPORT & EXPORT of TEXT to MS Outlook. No more do I have to make 4-10 Notes out of one to fit on my SE phones - this ROYALLY pisses me off. Can the K790 - I'm purchasing one tomorrow to go back to SE, missing media functions - handle unlimited characters in NOTES from Outlook?!

@super...,
"the simplicity of it"...?! Well, it took me 5 mins to set up 3 completely different accounts on my e61, and like masseur I set it up to automatically retrieve all mail - every 30 mins... If you install profimail it's even easier to set up! In addition, I can open, edit, and send back word/excel docs... On my treo 750v it was equally simple - I can even edit/scribble notes on pictures and return (proofing brochures, e.g.)... What I'm saying is: if simplicity's the reason, then it's time for bb to come up with someting new, isn't it?

Can your average joe do that but? I think not, In fact I know they can't.

Mr Miyagi, you are INDEED correct. Young Street becomes a highway that goes across the country if I'm not mistaken.

I just hope that with BES 5.0 will allow for HTML - compressed of course and the ability for firmware upgrades to support on BIS 2.3, and devices to also support it. BUT it'll use MORE data to do so.

There ARE apps that'll allow to edit office docs, natively we can view.
