there aint no point. a few people are not really going to make them rethink their decision. the software on the w950i n m600i are fine, a bit slow but ok. what else can they do if the hardware limits them. just remember this phone was announed Q4 of 2005 so look how long it has been. the hardware has got to be out of date

I have had my K800i for months, and it has been perfect. No issues whatsoever. My previous k500i was only bad because of its lack of features.

Boycotting them won't make enough of a difference tbh because they will sell a boatload of non-smartphone handsets.
Having said that, what SE have done with the P990 sounds terrible. I have purchased a few M600's for some of our users in our company but the majority of smartphone are Windows Mobile. I personally would never choose Symbian (especially with UIQ3) over Windows Mobile. Windows Mobile 6 is a seriously solid product and I've yet to have an issue with one WM6 device (as opposed to the M600 users reporting the clock lagging behind by as much as 15 minutes).
When you see the spec on a device like the O2 XDA Flame I really don't see any reason to choose SE for smartphones. Personally when my upgrade is due I will be choosing between the K850i or the XDA Flame.

My k800 has never gone wrong but my T610 nd K700 needed there joysticks sorting numorous times and crashed more times than i can remember. So in my opinion SE have improved.

agreed. boycotting won't make any difference in the same way that petitions for java in t68 etc etc made no difference.
actually, the T68/T68i is probably the best ever support phone by SE as they provided new firmware for close to 2 years as I recall. Mind you in those days they only had the upcoming T610/Z600/P900 to work on whereas these days they have so much more to develop for.
I think that simply having threads like in enthusiast forums this may make SE think again but at the end of the day my thoughts are as follows:
we all want newer and better devices and that takes manpower and other resources including money so SE do not want to spend too much money on what are now coming up to a year old devices, and a year in the mobile industry is a long time. This combined with competition means that the business needs to move forward
I also feel that, speaking generally, people who use these devices the most and hence are affected by the bugs the most are the type of people who also replace their phones the quickest as new models become available and their contracts expire so they can upgrade. whereas, those who use them less do not notice the bugs so much and so are less affected overall
at the end of the day, if the device you have bought does not suit your needs for whatever reason then replace it with something than does.

why not teach SE a lesson than be so vicious to wish it to die. SE has become so arrogant these few years because ot their success. Why dont you do this. Dont buy a SE for your next phone and let SE have a reality check (when their sales plunged). Then they will know how to listen and treat their customers well. (this was what happened to nokia a few years back and now you can see a change for the better)
Exactly! If the consumers doesn't complain then the manufacturers will not provide as good support as possible. And why should they spend extra money if bad products and bad service will not affect their business? It is also childish to think big business like Sony Ericsson will not change even though consumers pressure it to improve.
Actually, consumers want Sony Ericsson to grow so that they have more choice. But the attitude SE has shown towards P990i, M600i owners is not acceptable.

Good luck with your new brand!

That is universal suffrage!
You guys forgot what happened to mobile phone division of Ericsson which was once one of the two most popular brands. Same thing could happen to Sony Erisson.
