you're absolutely right there, anyway, not to sound off-topic but you know the earpiece grill on your N95, is the horizontal pattern of the mesh ever so slightly off centered? just noticed mine is and this one seems to be on the pic below however its hard to tell as its form the opposite side.

you see here is mine:

and it seems to be the same as the other one if they would be viewed from the same side.

the reason i'm posting it here is just wondering if it would affect the earpiece quality at all...also is yours like this doggman?

Hi A3LX,

Hadn't really noticed until you mentioned it but as it is quite small it's not that easy to tell after all it is just mesh to cover and protect the speaker. So even if it appears to be as you put it slightly off centre i really don't think it can possibly effect the sound quality.

oh and also i forgot to tell you...i used nokia music manager to encode in the preferred format, which i prosume was AAC and when on the phone the songs were a lot smaller but also sounded really muffled...so i stuck with MP3.

Hi A3LX,

You need to manually select the Ultra High quality option @160kbps under settings/ conversion other wise you will get medium @96kbps which will mean much smaller file sizes but a much lower quality that is why i always make a point of stating it is @160kbps not just AAC.
