@Daedalus85

I do agree i was looking at it on both VodaFone and 02 and it does indeed seem to priced as a premium product and an expensive one at that. Maybe the price will come down shortly but as of now it is very expensive for what it is. Although Sim Free the price is not so bad although not cheap, I do accept what you say re Video recording just find it quite strange is all.

beautiful phone, wondering about the materials used though. is the 'plastic' feeling so cheap as to degrade the user experience? and looking at the shiny panels, is the phone a scratch magnet (for example wiping with a stiff cloth might scratch the phone)?

how much RAM does this device have? what's the UIQ experience on it? users, please?

Well if your refering to the chipset PowerVR then it makes TOTAL sense. the phones that also use this you mentioned use larger CMOS sensors to give enough information for VGA; but at 2MP it may be too grainy to extrapolate to VGA from QVGA. I'll take it as its apparently VERY smooth at QVGA @ 30fps.

Personal I'd be satisfied with the Motorola Duo Z6 - music oriented on JUIX OS. But I'm waiting for what SE W580 in Black can show off with.

BTW, Z8 SHOULD be able to install, launch & run ALL current UIQ3 apps natively ; but somebody needs to test it.

@Prom1

Very good point i had actually thought it may be down to using only a 2meg Camera sensor logically that most probably is the reason. In which case it's a shame they didn't use a better camera as they are marketing it as the ultimate multimedia device. Maybe the newer devices will address this issue, still waiting to see what the alleged collaboration with Kodak brings.

Hi all,

Also the V8 is only a 2.5G device a comparable device would be the V9 which is 3.5G and fully loaded.
