Well basically M600 and P990 are not created on the same platform? And just p990 has more problem because it has 2 platforms because of the filp?
Thus i think P1 is just a M600 with Wifi and a Camera...

Absolutely agree. I bought my P1 less than 1 month ago and I just fond out that it doesn't make a proper Contact Search. Is this a smartphone? SE should immediatly release a new firmware.

To be honest - if it wasn't for the ram, and that I needed wifi, and the better battery - I'd probably have bought an m600 instead. A fraction of the price, nicer colours (black) and the sleeker frame.

I am expecting that they fix this soon enough, but there are alternative programs to take care of this already. For example DreamConnect by DreamSpring and StarContact by Starobject.

Is the symbian signed requirements the only thing preventing us from getting Magic Profiles Pro for the UIQ 3?
Not being able to use Magic Profiles Pro on my P1i is the one thing I miss most from UIQ 2.x.

After having used a P910 for 2.5 years, the P990i was excellent - I got it after the "beta - testers" had had it up to their ears and R5A17 was released. The largest flaw was the lack of profiles (as with the P910 and successors) as well as the inability to use Magic Profiles Pro! And a couple of days ago, I got the P1 from a friend who bought it but could not stand it (he is partial to products by Nokia, and currently uses an N95 & 6300). Although the size is great, and the screen marginally better, the keyboard is still a nightmare for me. The lack of a flip is a serious flaw for me, as you can't effectively use the phone singlehanded and have to often use the stylus and/or touch the screen. So, the P1's biggest flaw(s) IMHO are the lack of profiles, keyboard type, and lack of flip!

i wouldn't mind getting a 262k color screen which performs as good as a screen claims to be 16m, after all, it's about the quality

Hm... haven't really fiddled with my contacts list after I updated my FW. I remember being able to list the names First Last, Last First, etc. For the life of me I can't seem to find that option anymore! Can anyone point me in the right direction? It's probably some place really simple but I've looked all over... I'm just having one of those moments I guess.
EDIT: nm found it. Kinda sucks that you can only search by what you've ordered it by. If it's Last name first, you can only search last names. First names first, can only search first names, etc.
