Thanks guys. I'm sure we will be happy both with our new phones as well as the tariffs which i also agree is a very good deal

@ jack77777: I don't think it is an "FAIL". I have a 40GB HHD MP3 player so if i want to listen to music, i can use that rather than the mobile or just use the mobile's radio function.

Also the W950i does not have a camera so that why i didn't go for that one so i think i have made a good choice!

Here's a picture of my new K810!

I'm getting used to the phone now though i had a bit of a problem with the video call via the menu. When i tired calling my boy-friend all it went to a Orange video voicemail messaging service and after 3 seconds the fone seemed to freeze and an hour glass on the callers window but my video feed was ok. I had a option to leave a message using the # key or end the call which wasn't responding either so the only way reset it is take the battery out and in again. I tried 3 times and it did the same. When my boy-friend video called me it worked ok.

My sofware version is:
CXC1250902
R1KG001
070418

I phoned Orange and reported the problem to them and they told me they will pass it onto thier techinical team.

I tried again in another part of the room and rang my boy-friend and then transfered it to a video call and it worked. After that i tried using it though the menu and it worked ok again properly spent quite a bit on video calls!

Do you think it properly got to do with where i was and had some interferance with the 3G as i was at work in a lab and there is things like computers and equipment there.

When the Orange techinical support rings back should i tell them it seems to be working ok as they told me the handset may need to be return depending on the fault and what techincal engineers suggest which i don't really want.

Humm... ok something else i noticed with my K810.

I was on the phone about 52 minutes to my boy-friend before the battery ran out and died and i felt the back where the battery is felt warm and when i took out the battery that felt warm as well. Is that normal? Has any other K810i owners also exprienced this?

Is that a crystal case on your phone? If so, be careful it doesn't damage your screen, that happened to my hubbys K610i.

I have heard about batteries feeling warm before, but can't remember if it was on here or Zedge (Saw your message on there as well btw).

I am not sure what the solution was, as I have never had this problem with my SE phones.

@ abbafan1972: Yes that's a crystal case. Oh, how can they damage the screen? I have a screen protector on the screen as well.
@ Ridahz: Hum, ok. My W800i battery never went warm during/after a 40-50 minute call so obviously i was concerned. My Battery is ok when i'm charing it even through Optimized charging.

P.S: Can anyone help to answer the question about the problem i had with the Video Call? The Techinical support did ring me back and i told them it seem to be working now and the resolved it on thier side but they told me if i still having problems with it to contact them back.

Yay, finally got myself a Scandisk 1GB memory card for £20 as the 128mb that came with the phone you couldn't really store very much on it at all

My boyfirend got a 2GB one which cost him £21 from a computer fair!

I am wondering if the FOTA Update Service on my phone is the same SEUS service as on the SE website?

I have been reading on the forum about people expriencing probelms after updating the phone formware, like WSOD, phone not switching on, lost of network/signal problems, hardware problems ect.

I know that updating the phone's firmware may about to fix some bugs and give stability but also it seems that the new one can also create more bugs. I am now very wery about using this update service to update my phone if needed ao i have decided to switch it off altogether and not take the risk.

My software info is:
R1KG001
prgCXC1250902_ORANGE_SM R1KG001

EPROM: R3A022
prgCXC1250616_EROM_DB2020_HB106GENERIC_FOTA_SIMLOCK_FLAFLA_SIBLEY_SEMCUB

Update Service
UA Version: CRH1069179 R3B021
2006-10-12 08:47

Would this be the lastest software/EPROM/update from Orange?

@Frubin, if you have a screen protector on as well then it will be ok.

Hubby had a K610i with a crystall case on it and after a while it left marks on the screen.
