used the same route sainty did (customised uk - r1ca029) to get rid of the
hideous Orange branding, then a FOTA - now fairly stable at r1ca037.
Still experimenting with e-mail client reboots (or not hopefully !!)

when debranding, when i get to the stage where it says select service, the a2 flash guide on davinci site says to select 'software update db3150', is this right? or can i select 'flash custom software'? i would have thought doing the software update one just updates to newer firmware, not actually debrands the phone

sorry for all the q, i dont debrand often....
and should i use xp or vista to debrand?

Flash custom software = flash firmware that you have already downloaded
Software update DB3150 = choose any firmware branded or generic to flash to your phone
Basically select software update then choose the CDA/firmware you want to use

FOTA is the ability to choose to update the Fw Over The Air by selecting the option from the menu on your phone. You don't need a PC using this method.

this was the first time I had ever used FOTA as usually the firmware is available on SEUS before FOTA

can any one confirm if the new firmware is available for the customized AU/NZ firmware, either on FOTA or SEUS? And how much does FOTA usually cost? and how long approx to do?
cheers
was waiting for this to be moved to Software section
