I think SE should do the right thing and halt K850i sales as it is a one of the most buggy phones when released. They should follow Nokia which did the right thing and halt sales of E90 when the same happened.

btw: And one more thing. You guys are far too forgiving of SE.

Couldn't agree more. These brand centric boards breed fanatasicsm that has no objectivity. I would never put up with this garbage. "Nothing a firmware upgrade cant fix" sounds like someone's been drinking the SE kool aid.

I would most likely attribute these failures to quality control cutbacks.

It's clear when one analyzes SE's business model that profitability is their #1 target right now in regards to how they are cutting corners. It's the role of the consumer to grab them by the balls (sales margins) and make them up their game.

@Hurst
You're absolutely right; there is no excuse whatsoever. But many people, myself included, love SEs. For me, I wouldn't want a Nokia, Samsung, etc. It's frustrating at times, but I'm happy to put up with teething problems. Perhaps that's the wrong attitude; after all, how will a company learn if consumers don't vote with their feet? But when it comes down to it, I want the phone and it will only be me that suffers if I return it.

Thats odd... How come I noticed only 1 bug on the phone? (And the dust under the lens too, of course.)
I really like my K850i.

Actually se has a new firmware (R1CA037) but it is currently only being used internally by se.

Just collected my 3rd K850 and this is the software level I have. Previously the 029 build. I can now select my handsfree to be "always allowed" to connect - before the option was not available. Was for my Mac but not my TomTom.

Volume keys during call bug still there though.

1200-4400 R1CA037 071012 is listed as the version in the phone.

@joemax
I really want that option to always allow Bluetooth devices to connect!
What's the build quality like of this one? Better than the last two?

Have just gone through the same scenario. when flash is on, and camera is in auto, all flash photos come out black. it's like the camera is taking a flash photo in macro mode and unless the subject is within 12” from the lens it turns out black. Also as you move the camera around to take a photo there is a terrible lag as the screen tries to adjust it’s like it is in night mode and cant process the pictures in real time. I to sent the first camera back thinking there must be a fault. but the second camera is exactly the same. Every thing i can see about this phone i really good but the camera side of it is the worst i have ever seen on a phone or anything else. Now do i send this back . Definitely. I am not going through another 18 months with whats after all billed as one of the first proper camera phones on the market. i love the SE phones but this should never have been released with the camera side of it being so bad.

Sebby, she seems to be working great at the moment... call volume keys still work sometimes and not others. Not crashed yet either

Bluetooth audio is still very poor. Connect to my TomTom via BT for handsfree. 1st phone I had (029 build) worked OK from what I recall. This and the second phone (029 and 037 respectively) produce very crackley audio as well as drop outs and echoes (repeats really, not like a cave echo).

Everything else seems good, but then 037 is not supposed to be a major update over 029 from what I read on this forum.
