Does the BBCode apply the same way in every website. Is it possible for the mods of that particular site to block it from working?

@cycovision,
Windows smartphones = no touchscreen; pocket pc = windows smartphone with touchscreen
Correct?

NO.

windows smartphones=touchscreen phones

although earlier windows smartphones didn't have touchscreen like "voyager" something, it wasn't really that popular. now all windows phones are touchscreen like HTC and dopod to name a few.

pocket pc=Touchscreen PDA, hence the name PC. it doesn't have the phone function.

Actually strecker is correct. Traditonally, Microsoft themselves call hardscreen windows based phones "smartphone", and touchscreen windows based phones "PocketPC". PocketPC is a generic term for all Windows based touchscreen PDA's, including those with inbuilt phones. Where as "smartphones" refers to Windows based mobile devices that do not have touchscreen input.

For example a Windows hardscreen phone OS is called Windows Smartphone 2003, where as the touchscreen version is called Windows Pocket PC 2003. (for example).

With the advent of Windows Mobile 5, Microsoft seem to be diverging from that definition somewhat.

Nevertheless it is quite incorrect to say that a windows based phone is not a pocket pc. If it has a touchscreen and Windows CE of any version, it is a Pocket PC.

@tranced thanks fot the pm but somehow it didnt generate the link. it first timed out while loading and later it couldnt locate the remote server. Okay mates It was about applying the BBcode in another site. Can it be applied the same way it is applied here? Tranced talked about the html code. How is this and how is applied. Can someone post an example? I have been trying to use the bbcode in another site but all my efforts were futile.
