One of the reviews mentioned that a firmware for the K850 is going to be released in Week 50 of 2007, hope that improves things considerably.

I hope so. But I think its over generaly in terms of the K850s image performance compared to the rest. I cant believe it was even outdone by the G600. Hpefully SE will learn to put more into their "flagship" devices next time.

THE ONLY NOKIA PHONE WHO CAN PRODUSE LOW LIGHT, INDOOR PICS IS OF COURSE N82...BECAUSE IT HAVE A REAL FLASH....
still, k850 produce more natural colors, (N82 flash pics looks often quite odd,(the skin on people faces looks like zoombies or something)

i would never in my life buy N95 for the camera....NO flash, poor indoor, bad low light, poor camera features, no BestPic..(N95 8GB is a awesome multimedia phone, thats for sure)....

¤ k850 have easily best camera features, and best allround camera.

¤ N82 have also a very good camera, but have this strange color-"issue" with the flash, (and still quite poor camera features)

¤ LG Viewty have best video recording,(much better then N95)..but little worse camera

¤ samsung G600....what should i say....(lowest scores in most reviews)

here what i mean about N82 color-issue..

k850....more natural colors

Looks like there's one incorrect detail in the results from the test plankgatan showed:

Video Camera: Video at resolutions up to 640x480 pixels, video light.

Please correct me if I'm wrong but whereas the N95 shoots near DVD quality video, the K850i doesn't shoot better video than QVGA (near VCD...). If the testers could have gotten this right, and this was no small detail to miss IMO, the scoring between the N95 and the K850 would probably been more even, or maybe even the other way around.

Good point but, I don't think any of the scores at the bottom are for video recording. I don't speak the language but none of them mention video in them. Observant though.

plankgatan:

There are so many photos in the comparison. Why dont you use them to highlight certain point. Using your OWN photo shot on entirely DIFFERENT scene is just RIDICULOUS to prove anything. I'm just amazed

@bavlandon2:

I think plankgatan scene should be quite bright as it is a eating place but the photo taken by K850 looks very dark. The other scene looks like a party so it should be darker.

my favorite is the last one, "A scene comprising a lot of small details and light sources. This is clearly the triumph of K850i - it manages to render all the details and lights better than the rivals. S1 occupies the second places, the bronze medal goes to G800 and N95 is an outsider.

Winner: Samsung G800 "

they can't even get their winner right, one of your favorite references in your "Nokia is god conquest". You should post a pic from your n95 8gb of you in your Nokia pj's. I'm sorry you had a sneaky uncle.
